2017 NCC Acts

One of the ways that NCC wants to become “a compelling presence for Christ” is through NCC Acts.  These regular acts of service throughout the year are meant to spur us to love people in practical ways.  This year, we are leaning in towards those who are overlooked or ignored in our community, as Jesus talks about in Matthew 25.

The first act is called 5:16 (based on the verse from Matthew).  It is an all-out blitz of service powered through our Groups.  Open to anyone, 5:16 is gearing up soon, but won’t be enacted until the month of May.

We are also going to serve the “A” school students of the Coast Guard again with care packages.

In addition, a new project will be enacted during the Christmas season, when we will create and distribute Christmas dinner food boxes for a low-income neighborhood.

NCC will also look to fund disaster relief efforts and in house church family needs as they arise.

The funds for NCC Acts come from our annual “Giving It All Away” offering taken at Christmas Eve.  We exceeded our goal again this year with a total amount of $13,225.  Thank you church for your generosity!
